  This pattern 53 sword was built on contract for England by C.R. Kirschbaum, a noted German sword maker.  This example shows a 35 1/3" blade in excellent condition, showing the knight's logo of the maker and the British crown over 7 inspection mark.  The scabbard shows issue mark A over 23 (troop A #23).  The scabbard shows 3 minor service dents.  An exellent Crimean War sword.
