Beaumont-Adams Percussion Revolver

    Beaumont-Adams Percussion Revolver in 80 bore 5 chambered nickel plated. Beaumont-Adams percussion muzzle-loading revovler retailed by R. Adams London, and so marked on top strap.  Engraved "Adam's Patent No. 22269R" on lower right side of frame, with serial number ,"B. 6628" engraved just above.  Cylinder is also engraved ,"22269" over "R" and London proof marks are also stamped on the cylinder.  Small wing nut to release cylinder axis pin, safety on right side below hammer which locks cylinder.  One piece walnut stock with steel cap.  Rammer as seen in illustration on right side of the barrel with patent use number on inside only partially readable.  4.5" barrel.   Most finish still in place.  The single action function is not working but otherwise in good working order and condition.  For reference see "The Revolver 1818-1865" by Taylerson page 101 to 110.  Nickeled finished revolvers were used by military and civilians serving in tropical areas of the empire.  (Antique Status)
