This bayonet was built circa 1849. This example is regimental inventory numbered on the shank on the right side and #37 on the left. 23 1/2" blade, 4" socket with locking ring. A scarce bayonet with the collar and bridge to the rear. See #474 "Kiesling Bayonets of the World". This piece can be improved with a careful cleaning of the same.
