- Description:
High quality Austrian combination rifle shot gun. This example shows all of the correct Austrian and Ferlach proofs and a proofing date of 1921. The barrels are 23 3/4" with 16 gauge over what appears to be 5.6 X 52R (22HP) rifle. The barrel shows a fine tooled rib, with 2 platinum lined flip up sights, a flip up tang sight and a factory installed scope mount. Both bores rate excellent. The rifle takes the 5.6 X 52 R cartridge perfectly. (We do advise any purchaser to have their gunsmith check the chanber size of European rifles prior to shooting) This rifle is mounted with the single release scope mount. The scope is a KAHLES Austrian 3 to 9 power ( a premium quality maker). The optics are clear. The action shows 90% hand engraving with 3 deer panel on the right side lock and 2 on the left. The triggerguard shows a buck face on. The engraving is typical Ferlach quality engraving, oak leaf and stippled background. The wood is high figure European walnut. The checkering is typical quality European work. The wood is sound and complete showing some normal usage marks. The only defect that we could detect is an old repair to the checkered portion of the right hammer.
