• Description:

  Antique 1840 dated US military musket.  This example shows a re-conversion to flint.  The lockplate shows pitting but a visible US eagle/date etc.  The metal shows remnants of markings.  The wood is basically sound.  This item falls short of being a collection piece, but would make a great wall hanger as an original flint musket.  The muskets of this era will have seen service in the US/ Mexican War of the 1846 to 1848 era.  A great antique wall hanger with no permit necessary.
