• Description:

  NSN is an antique persussion rifle.  This example shows a 40 caliber bore in a 1 1/4" diameter barrel.  The barrel shows a 32" length and weight of 10.6 lbs.  The only marking is on the breach " Recut by N. Lewis, Troy".  Lewis started business circa 1843 and was a known barrel maker for approximately 40 yrs.  The bore rates excellent.  The rifle shows a back action lock.  The trigger guard and butt plate are similar to other rifles built by Nelson Lewis.  This piece shows a modern target front sight.  A rear tang sight is required.  A sound example of an antique percussion target rifle.  Antique
