    SN 7387B is a single shot Mauser Model 71, caliber 43 Mauser carbine.  This example shows matching numbers and a 1876 & 1877 date.  This piece shows a bright, very good bore with light frosting and sound rifling.  The front sight shows a crude modification.  The wood is sound but showa a small but secure surface crack adjoining the front of the trigger guard.  This example is cut back in a similar manner as found on some of the Boer Enfield carbines.  The wood is sound . An antique 43/11 mm Mauser carbine.
