Antique short sword (not a tourist trade piece) . This short sword shows a flat 21 1/4 " blade. The blade shows an overall rust. We have not cleaned off the same. The decision to clean or not clean is for the purchaser. The hand carved head shows a mythical dragon or bird with a fish in its mouth. The scabbard is 2 piece wood with a thin brass collar at the mouth. The middle brass band is missing but shows the shape of the same on panels. This is a less common short sword from the far east.
