  • Description:

We are pleased to offer to the collector community an example of a very rare single action revolver.  This revolver, SN#947, was built in the mid 1870's.  The research indicates that the total production of this single action was that only 1000 were manufactured.  This company simply could not compete with Colt, Smith & Wesson or Remington.  This example is complete with the exception of the cylinder.  The cylinder is not correct to the piece. The presumption is that the cylinder was removed at some time for safety reasons and became separated.  This item was acquired in a collection acquired by us many years ago and has been in a parts bin since that time.  This revolver shows a working action save the cylinder that does not function.  The finish is overall grey and shows the standing bear on the left side above the trigger guard bow.  The barrel address is clear.  This revolver is being offered as a non working antique revolver in 44 Russian caliber.  A very scarce American single action revolver that would command a significant price if the same was complete.  This piece is offered as an antique parts or display gun.  Reference: Flaydermans Guide 8th Ed., 8A-057 at page 387.  This revolver is an antique under Canadian law as per FRT # 81934-1 (44 Russian caliber)
