• Description:

  NSN is a D.C. marked Snider rifle.  This example shows a bright excellent 577 Snider bore.  The locked is marked Enfield 1862.  The breach block is BSA marked.  This example shows the blue/brown finish rating 90%.  The stock remains in sound condition showing the Enfield roundel class 1 mark on the right side of the butt.  The left side shows the Dominion of Canada D.C. mark over H.V. BR marking.  The tang shows a 1 over 314.  This rifle shows no rod retainer.  In the later era of issue the retainers and rods were removed by various units armourers.  A sound example of a Canadian issue Snider.  Antique
