• Description:

  SN 25430 is a relatively scarce antique Thunderer revolver.  This example shows little original finish.  The left side of the 3 1/2" barrel shows the Colt D.A. 41 markings.  This Colt was built in 1880.  The bore is quite shootable with light pitting and sound rifling.  The piece is stocked with genuine pearl grips of the era.  The right panel shows a correctly repaired crack.  Clear barrel and frame markings.  The action on the Lighting and Thunderer models is notoriously weak.  This example function with a weak trigger return spring.  A scarce Colt in Canada and an antique as per FRT 18192-47, Ref: Sutherland Pg. 325.  Not subject to permit.
