  This is a scarcer Ross Military issue rifle . For reference see plate 114A on page 170 of "The Ross Rifle Story" the serial # on the barrel is 6824. The interior of the fore wood is marked D broad arrow C. Any unit markings that were on the butt appear to have been removed many years ago. the barrel is 28" and shows sound rifling and overall light corrosion. This rifle is mounted with he Ross MKIII rear sight. The wood was cleaned but all of the metal is proud with traces of markings on the wrist. A less than common Canadian military Ross rifle.
