• Description:

  This antique Brunswick shows no military markings. The 30 1/4" barrel shows commercial London proofs and a #3 stamped on the tang. The bore shows strong Brunswick rifling to take the belted ball. This piece shows the typical English heavy construction, with typical brass fittings mounted on a English black walnut stock. There is a trace of a marking on the left side of the butt which may have been an ownership or unit marking. This piece was sourced out of NFLD and may well have been a rifle used at sometime as a ships or sealing rifle, mechanically sound lock and barrel. A piece that could be improved with some effort and TLC.
