  Scarce original Ross rifle Company partial box of 280 Ross cartridges. This two piece box shows a brown label with the graphics of the round on the front face of the box. The 9 remaining cartridges are the same as the one pictured on the box.  The bullet shows the copper clad point.  All of the cartridges are original to the box.  We would suggest that these cartridges not be fired but acquired for display purposes only.  See page 220 of "The Ross Rifle Story".  Not a common or easily obtained cartridge box.
