  This is an Enfield & Snider short rifle bayonet. This piece is a little uncommon as it shows a nickel hilt.This is Enfield built and inspected and has WD surplus marked. Cross guard shows a large 1.It has an excellent blade. The scabbard also shows surplus sale WD marking. The nickel might suggest a piece that was used for honor guard or parade usage.
