  SN 15881 is a Winchester 1892, 1st year production by the factory records.  This 38 WCF caliber rifle was one of 109,714 built in this caliber.  The original 1/2 shorter magazine is one of 2,740 1892 rifles and carbines built with this feature.  This rifle shows a shootable bore that shows overall corrosion with sound rifling.  The 24" barrel shows clear markings.  Original sights and spotted usage marks.  The receiver is overall grey.  The wood is original with some obvious usage marks.  The action is smooth.
