Swiss Model 1914 Pioneer Sawback Bayonet

• Description:

  An excellent example of a 1914 Pioneer/Engineers Sawback bayonet.  This piece rides in the 2nd pattern all steel scabbard, 24" overall with a 18 3/4" blade.  The blade is maker marked Waffenabrik Neuhausen.  The crossguard shows SN 116737.  The wood grips rate very good to excellent, showing minor usage dents.  The scabbard is mounted with a modern built copy of the original leather frog.  The scabbard shows it's original black enamel paint showing minor usage marks.  Excellent bright blade with dulled blue on the crossguard and pommel.
