• Description:

  Scarcer Snider Mk1* built by Enfield and issued to the Canadian militia.  This example shows a bright bore with light corrosion, sound rifling rating very good.  The metal shows most of its' original blue turning plum.  The wood rates as very good plus, showing only normal issue or usage marks.  The rod is original.  The example shows the DC diamond mark and issue to the 53 Battalion of Infantry, Sherbrooke Quebec. This unit may have seen some service during the Fenian raids.  A sound example.
