• Description:

  SN 11766 is one of the 54,000 "Colt Automatic Pistols" 22 target model built.  This early example shows the scarcer pencil barrels and was built in 1919.  This example shows a bright excellent bore and blueing that rates at 97%.  The only loss is minor wear points on the grip straps.  This piece shows the correct 2 line magazine base and the scarcer early bronze cast mag follower.  The grips are original and remain in excellent condition.  This Colt comes in its' original Heiser holster that remains in excellent condition.  A scarce pistol for the Colt or Woodsman collector. Note: This pistol shows a post 1931 mainspring housing installed to permit the use of hi-speed ammo. (Restricted Status)
