  Colt Single Action SN 351855 built in 1928.  This example is a Frontier Six Shooter in 44-40 caliber.  There were 64,389 pre war Colt SSA built in this caliber. This piece shows a 7 1/2" barrel, Frontier Six-Shooter marked with a bright,excellent bore.  This Colt shows 95% original blue with slight loss at the muzzle and on the back strap.  The frame shows a mix of strong and faded case color.  The grips are original and rate excellent.  A prior owner filed a small notch in the top of the sight blade.
