• Description:

  An interesting Lee Enfield variation.  This rifle is made up of mixed parts,mostly Australian.  This piece was converted to a police or guard gun in 410.  The majority of similar rifles of this type were converted in India at Ishapore.  In addition,the conversion method was different. Most conversion show a straight smooth bore.  This example shows the bored out chamber and approximate;yr 1" boring at the muzzle and retention of most of the rifling.  This piece shows excellent metal and wood.  The wood blocking and magazine floor plate were expertly installed. The marking and proofs are standard Australian.  The butt is marked 6 over 10g.  Note:all of the 410 conversions were for a brass case shot shell and not the 410 paper cartridge.
