• Description:

  WW1 German 598/05 bayonet.  This example was built by Simson & Co. SUHL in 1915 as marked on the blade and the spine.  The blade shows evidence that this piece may have had the saw teeth ground.  This bayonet was apparently a bring back battlefield pick up.  The front of the scabbard shows the remnants of a soldier's scratched name that is mostly oblitereated.
