  SN 266471 is an exceptional example of a standard Colt Bisley built in early 1907 one of the banner years for Bisley production.  This revolver is one of only 90 standard Bisleys built in 44 Russian caliber.  This example shows the 7 1/2"  barrel with the correct block barrel address. The 7 1/2" is the scarcest barrel configeration at approximately 18% of the Bisley production.  The Colt remains in excellent plus condition. The factory blue remains at 98% with drag and scratch lines on the cylinder.  In addition ,the front face of the trigger shows file mark and cuts.  We presume that it was a prior owners attempt to checker the same. The original case color remains in place with only slight edge wear on the left side of the hammer. All screws retain the original Colt high luster heat blue.  The grip panels remain in "as new "condition.  The bore rates as brigh, excellent plus.  The cylinder rates the same save the above described and photographed scratches.  This Colt is probably one of the best condition examples of a Bisley model to be offered on the Canadian market.
