British Enfield converted pistol to a circa 1830's 67 caliber Coast Guard pistol.  The lock was originally mounted on a New Land flint pistol with the cypher of William IV (1830-1837).  These Coast Guard pistols were converted at Enfield as marked on the tail of the lockplate.  The black walnut stock shows the broad arrow BO mark.  The barrel proofs show the earlier crown GR proofs.  A neat early Coast Guard pistol built without belt hook.  Original bright barrel and plate.
