  • Description:

SN PB99 is one of the first 100 M1 Garand rifles built by Beretta for Denmark.  There were 10,000 of the M1 rifles in the contract.  This very low serial number rifle shows a PB marked barrel dated 1955.  The receiver is marked crown over FKF No PB99.  The majority of the parts of this scarce Garand show the PB mark.  As per Canfield there were 100,000 of these rifles built by Beretta.  This example shows a bright excellent bore and 95% original Parkerized finish.  The stock shows normal issue and usage marks and is marked PB 355. The sling is of the US style but unmarked.  A relatively scarce and early example from the Beretta first production run.  Ref: see " Canfield's Complete Guide to the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine" page 149.  A scarce variation of the famous WW2 M1 Garand rifle in collector grade condition.
