  This European percussion pistol is a little unique due to its' 6", 50 caliber screw off barrel.  The barrel shows a Damascus finish and is marked 1- indication that this was one of a pair.  The proof may well be a spurious proof used by makers too skirt proof laws at the time.  The overall length of this percussion pistol is 10" .  The grip shows crude but original checkering.  An interesting antique pistol with a working action.  Antique- no permit required.
