WW2 Japanese Samurai Sword

• Description:

  Original WW2 vintage Japanese Samurai sword in very good plus "as found" condition.  This vintage sword shows a 26" blade from the tip to the collar.  The overall length is 36 1/2".  The blade is sound with no evidence of cleaning.  It shows small spots of staining and no pitting.  The tang shows swordmakers markings on both sides and a WW2 issue #8014 on the left side.  The front face of the guard show #222.  The scabbard shows excellent original paint and fittings.  The scabbard remains in its original campaign leather cover with split seam in the center top portion.  We have not attempted to remove the scabbard for fear of further damage.  An overall very good plus example of a NCO WW2 Japanese officers sword.
