• Description:

  SN 19095 is a converted WW Greener police riot gun, model (GP).  This shotgun originally took a brass 12 gauge necked shotshell.  This piece now shows a 32" barrel in 12 gauge, 2 3/4" nitro proofed, full choke. This model was called the "Gaffer Gun". #2 Model  by Greener and was sold as an inexpensive gun. The catelogue for this piece describes the Gaffer Gun to be used "particularly for rough work on safari ,for the arming of the native"boys" on horseback, on Veldt or in Jungle". See photos of catelogue(not included).   The barrel shows English proofs from the time of conversion. The bore rates good to very good.  Excellent blue on the barrel and clear receiver markings.  The wood was checkered and pad installed.  Sold as a sporting shotgun of the era.  (Non Restricted)
