  SN 507560 is a Springfield Model 1884, 45-70 caiber rifle.  This piece shows a shootable but medium corroded bore. Excellent lock and action.  The forwood from the bottom band has been added.  No bayonet or retainer. A very good shooter or rebuilder/parts gun. 1890 dated inspector cartouche.
