  Sharps New Model 1863 carbine SN C 1249 in 50-70 caliber.  This is one of the civil war era Sharps carbines built from 1863 to 1865 as percussion and post war converted to cartridge .  This example shows overall usage but remains in very good plus condition .  The bore rates as bright excellent correct Lawrence Patt rear sight and iron block and blade front sight.  The 22" barrel shows an even overall petina.  The action shows the case color turned silver with the correct clear stampings.  The wood is all original and sound showing normal usage marks.  Overall an excellent example of a civil war and Indian War carbine.
