  SN 51325 is a very uncommon 1905 Model H&R in 44 Winchester shot and 44 XL shot.  This small frame shotgun shows the removable hinge pin, the two pattern dates and the H&R name and address .  This shotgun should only be used with light loads. 44 shot shells cartridges can be found or be made up and reloaded.  This example shows a 26" barrel with very good to excellent blue and a bright very good plus bore.  The wood is all original with strong remnants of original finish and its' original butt plate.  These small shotguns were only built from 1906 to 1916 and were built in 7 difference caliber.A scarce H&R.
