Ross Bayonet Converted To Knife

  This is a WW1 Ross bayonet as converted to a military knife early WW2.  Both the pommel of the knife and the leather scabbard show the C broad arrow to arrow surplus sale mark.  They were modified by reshaping the blade, removing the release button and shortening the scabbard.  These knifes were sold as surplus after WW2 in the late 1940's and early 1950's.  This example has seen a lot of hard usage but is still quite sound.
