• Description:

  SN 61411 is an RCMP Colt New Service revolver in 455. Thsi is part of a 100 gun order shipped 25 Aug 1914 to Birkett and Son.  This mountie Colt was unfortunately refinished at some time.  The blue remains as excellent with clear barrel address, model and Colt pony markings.  There is a  ghost of RCMP marking on the backstrap and a clear crisp MP marking on the butt.  The 455 bore rates as bright excellent. The grips and action rate as excellent.  There is a possible chance that this revolver may have been refinished at the Depo ie. the removal of back strap mark and the deep fused MP butt marking.  Unfortunately, not a provable poin.
