• Description:

  SN 3864 is a Spandau Arsenal built (1887) rifle.  This example is all matching with a bright very good plus 11mm/43 Mauser bore.  The stock is marked Q.H.G. Quebec Home Guard (circa WW1, 1914) with an issue or rack No 169.  The original German issue marks are stamped on the butt tang 37 R.E. 1. 81.  These Mausers were purchased by Bannerman's and sold to the City of Quebec for arming the WW1 homeguard unit.  Sound, dull original blue, excellent action and complete wood.  A neat piece of Quebec/Canadian militaria.
