  Antique Snider band rifle .  This piece is Canadian Militia DC marked and to the 66 Battalion out of Halifax.  A number of the members of this unit went west to the Riel rebellion.  This Snider shows a total refinish blue and wood markings are clear.  An attractive display piece or a 577 shooter with a shootable bore, sound rifling with light corrosion but shootable.  An attractive representative example of a Snider long rifle.
