Newfoundland WW1 Regimental Bugle

  • Maker: British

  • Description:

A unique regimental bugle from WW1.  This bugle is mounted with the Newfoundland "NFLD" brass shoulder title.  This piece is soldered to the top of the bugle approximately 2" back from the rim.  The mouth piece is marked 3 C and Frank Holton Co. This mouth piece appears to be a later replacement. The bugle is wrapped in a wool puttee from WW1. This is secured by a military lace from the same period. We have no paper provenance but can advise that this piece was recovered from an attic lot in Halifax,N.S. about 2 years ago together wth other NFLD regimental items. This example shows its obvious age and appears to be 100% correct and original.
