  A Newfoundland birding or sealing gun.  This massive piece shows a 4' barrel and is 64" overall.  The bore is just 1" approximately 6 bore.  This example shows overall pitting on the lock and tang.  The barrel shows light pitting and clear Damascus lines.  Obviously the pitting is a result of years of exposure to salt sea water and probably storage in the fish shack.  The lock functions perferctly .The original hemp stock rope remains in place.  A great conversation or wall hanger piece.
