  • Description:

SN 7431 is a BSA built Model 1908  miniature rifle, war office pattern, 22 long caliber cadet training rifle.  This rifle was part of a group of training rifles designed at Enfield, in both single shot and repeaters.  There were various models from 1906 to 1912.  The common feature was the bolt and the 200 yard military sight.  This piece bears the BSA logo and was built by them.  This piece shows the front sight protector, single shot bolt, and added Lyman 1907 pattern sight, and sling swivels.  This piece shows an overall very corroded bore.  We have test fired the rifle and can advise that it functions very well using 22 short.  A scarce military 22 trainer that fits in any British military or trainer rifle collection.
