• Description:

  Sm 1519 is a Martini Henry carbine MK 3 built at Enfield.  This example shows an above average bright very good 303 caliber bore in its' 21" barrel.  The metal shows an overall grey and plum finish.  The receiver shows a 1897 conversion date to 303.  The wood has been cleaned but is sound.  The stock disk is dated March 1894 and initial issue to 1. V. FF artillery #86.  The receiver shows old pitting but readable Enfield markings and the 1884 and 97 dates.  These carbines were converted primarily for colonial use including NFLD.
