Long Branch Training Rifle (Non Gun)
- Maker: Long Branch
- Model:
- Caliber/Gauge:
- Description:
A sample of SN OL 2304 is a sample of the relatively scarce 1943 pattern Long Branch training rifle dated 1944. These non guns were bult at Long Branch and were a Canadian version of the Swift Trainer. Reference see "The Lee Enfield" . The final edition by Ian Skennerton page 314. These were built to have the equivalent weight as the No 4 (8.5 lbs) and had a safety butt plate. As per the above reference there were 3788 of these trainers built by the end of WWII. A neat item for any Lee Enfield or Canadian collection. The action functions including the sight block but there appears to be no puncture needle.
