• Description:

  SN AA1661 is a post WW2 Jungle Carbine No 5 MK 1 built April 1947 at Fazakerley.  This example shows a very good bore with strong rifling.  This rifle may well have seen service in Malaysia in the late 1940's. This carbine shows all matching numbers including the magazine.  The original graduated rear sight was removed and replaced with 300/600 yard rear sight that may well have been installed by a british armourer in the far east (Malayan)campaign.  A nice clean example from the last year of No 5 production.  The sling is British 1944 production.
