• Description:

  SN 39729 is a 1944 built and dated No 4 MK 1 rifle.  This rifle was refurbished (FTR) at Fazakerley Royal Ordenance factory in 1949.  it would appear that this rifle was then shipped to Indonesia and marked with the star logo on the top of the breech. Also the top of the bolt shows a number that appears to be Indonesian.(See page 588 of the Lee Enfield).  This rifle shows a bright excellent bore and clear markings.  The bolt head is matching renumbered.  The wood rates very good to excellent.  This is an example of one of the No 4 rifles that saw service in nations beyond the British Commonwealth.
