• Description:

  Lee Enfield built by L.S.A. Colt (London Small Arms) dated 1901.  L.E.1* and N (Navy) marked on the right side of the socket.  Matching bolt with cover.  This Boer War era rifle appears to have been issued to various units.  The tang is marked G over V over VR 69. The butt shows the Sparksbrook Arsenal roundel and 7/05 date.  2nd roundel is present but not legible.  There is an Inv #8450 and the surplus broad arrow marks as well as the navy mark (probably WW1). This rifle is complete and is a good representative 303 magazine Lee-Enfield.
