• Description:

  Exceptional example of a European Mariette Pepperbox pistol circa 1840.  This piece shows the less common design where the individual barrels are screwed into the 6 individual chambers.  All barrels and chambers are marked 1 to 6.  The nipples are alligned to the barrel.  (Less misfires and making a more compact weapon).  This example shows overall fine engraving on the barrels and frame.  Excellent plus original metal finish.  Mechanically sound with excellent high burl wood grips.  An excellent example.
