  SN 55709 is an early M1 built by Inland in 1942.  They produced 97,915 carbines.  This example shows a bright excellent 30 carbine bore, flip upsights and a stock marked BW over S over 12/55 (probably a reissue date).  This example shows it's original Nov/1942 date.  Restricted status but still transferable or sold as deactovated item.  Note: mag is pinned to the legal 5 round capacity.
