  SN 10904 R is a Dean, Adams & Dean revolver built circa 1853.  Fom reference see page 93 of "The Revolver 1818-1865" by Taylerson.  This example shows an overall sound condition.  This is one of the less common variations in 38 bore.  The majority of these revolvers are found in the larger 44 caliber.  This piece shows a 5 1/2" barrel with an unusual bright excellent bore.  The action functions which is not the norm with many of these early revolvers.  This piece shows approx 50% of its original blue.  There is pitting on the barrel especially on the top. Flat, nice scroll engraving and sound original grips. A nice example .
