• Description:

  Sn Z4906 is a BSA MK III* rifle dated 1916.  This example shows matching bolt, wood and nose piece.  The receiver ring is also marked 3 over 83904 (3rd Military District) Victoria and the Australian issue number.  The right butt shows the date 9/23, the D broad arrow D post war reserve marking and the matching 3 over 83904. The D broad arrow marking is also found on the ring and butt indicating government ownership.  This piece shows a bright excellent bore and most of its' original finish   A very good example of an Australian issue rifle that probably saw WW1 service and was later reissued in territorial service.
