• Description:

  British Light Infantry Carbine pattern 1758.  This carbine is .67 caliber and shows the correct 42" barrel and overall length of 57 1/2". Tower and crown G.R. scaled down short land musket lock 5" overall.  The barrel shows the correct ordnance proofs. All of the brass furniture is correct scaled down to carbine size.  The barrel shows an overall brown petina with a replaced rammer.  The wood is correct and sound showing no breaks or cracks.  The butt shows a slight cheek relief on the left side of the comb.  The only replaced parts appear to be the frizzen, spring, and few screws.  The wood shows a few minor edge repairs and minor edge loss.  This carbine comes with an original and correct bayonet. 14 3/8 blade, 4" socket and overall length of 18 1/2" with correct British Crown inspector mark.  A less common Light Infantry Carbine from the standard family of Brown Bess muskets.
