• Description:

  SN 15779 is an above average example of a Belgium double barreled shotgun.  This piece is named on the side plates" Janssen Sons & Co" which was one of the trade names of Janssen Fils and Cie (Liege) (1891-1931) makers.  This piece shows an overall excellent plum brown finish with the rib marked (fine Damascus finish) 12 gauge, 28" barrels with bright very good plus bores.  The lock rates as excellent with a crisp hammer action.  The wood is sound with no breaks or cracks.  The checkering is worn but this piece shows a nice tight action that has been checked & improved by our gunsmith  and shows obvious care by its former owners.  Non restricted
