• Description:

  Antique Snider MK1 caliber 577 Snider conversion to short rifle.  The NK1* were not converted at Enfield but were converted at BSA.  This short rifle is one of the rifles as sent to Canada and is marked 64 over 88 on the butt tang and 64 over 120 on the left side of the butt.  This piece shows a 1862 dated lock and a bright very good bore.  The blue is all original but dull.  The wood is sound but shows an old refinish.  This rifle was issued to the 6th Military District Quebec and the 64th Battalion of Infantry out of Beauharnois.  The rifle is mounted with a later but correct 1 12/" buff leather sling.  No license required to purchase.
